A headdress of a queen or lady of the court of Thutmose III, from the tomb of his Syrian wife. Each small unit is joined by a hinge making it flexible. The headdress is mounted on a modern version of a wig of the period on a cast of an 18th dynasty head. Country of Origin: Egypt. Culture: Ancient Egyptian. Date/Period: 18th dynasty (c1469-1436BC).
