mask Kahun

Unique mask with leonine face. It is painted black with green forehead triangle and red cheek spot, white teeth and a hole at the eye pupil. It bears signs of ancient repair and it is the only surviving mask of such antiquity. May have represented the god Bes. Country of Origin: Egypt. Culture: Ancient Egyptian.
