Horemheb

 

This is a statue of the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Haremheb as a scribe. The display of objects in the exhibition demonstrates that this statue of Haremheb--a true masterpiece of Egyptian sculpture--has many layers of meaning. The statue now resides in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
