This Greek papyrus constitutes a group with two other papyrus (E.8051 and E.8053) written in Demotic. The three articles concern the sale of a house in ruins situated in the northern district of Thebes. The vendors were part of the people from the temple of Amun. The Demotic papyrus carries the act of sale and the act of the removal. The Greek document is the receipt for payment of the transaction tax of 5% on the sale established by the Demotic contracts.
