Female
figurine in Greek style, showing a naked woman with legs splayed, and
intricate hairdo, in the manner of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love,
from the city of Naukratis in the Western Delta. The city was a unique
Greek colony installed with the permission of the Egyptian kings in the
26th Dynasty, to channel the trade between the Nile valley and the
Aegean.
