MM 14061 :: Artist's sketch, Ostracon

Object description: Ostracon, irregularly shaped. Damaged sketch on one side in red, black and yellow. On a black baseline, on the right, stands a woman, facing left. She is wearing a long, pleated garment with tassels. Her wig is large, black and decorated with a headband, striped in black. An ointment cone is possibly placed on top of the wig. She is wearing a disc shaped earring. Both hands are stretched out in front of her. To the left is a woman, sitting on a bed, the middle of which can be seen in the middle of the picture. This woman also wears a pleated garment. A red object next to her is difficult to identify. On the bed lies a child, coloured red, with black hair.; 19-20th Dynasty (1315-1081 BC), New Kingdom
