The Isis knot (Tit-knot) is difficult to interpret as the hieroglyph was only used to depict this knot. From the New kingdom on, the amulet became connected with Isis. It occurs often in conjunction with the djed-pillar, which is identified with Osiris. The connection with Isis is also mentioned in spell 156 of the Book of the Dead.
