Gold Dish with Cartouches of Psusennes The First

Gold Dish with Cartouches of Psusennes The First
This beautiful gold dish is decorated in the center with a small rosette surrounded by sixteen carved triangles, the sides of which are formed by strips starting from the rosette, which is the center of a circle.
The rim of the dish bears the cartouches and the titles of King Psusennes the First, carved in a discreet, and at the same time perfect, way to reveal the high skills of the craftsman.
This dish, like others found in the tomb of King Psusennes the First, was not for the use of the king, but was used to contain flowers offered to the gods during the ceremonies while the gold jars, found beside the dishes were used to pour libations of sacred water before the gods.
