The tomb TT45 was carved during the period of Amenhotep II (c. 1427 – 1400 B.C) for Djehuty, an official of modest rank

The chapel of Sokar
This chapel is occupied by the barque Henou, who is consubstantial to the god Sokar. We have already dedicated a small presentation to the sacred barques. This scene is an illustration of the importance taken by the cult of Sokar in the New Kingdom at Thebes, and by the growing influence of divinities of Memphite origin. The festivities of the month of Khoiak also include a large procession of the Henou barque. The couple formed by the deceased and his wife do not present any particularities, but one will nonetheless notice that Bakkhonsu hold in her left hand a Hathor sistrum, a lettuce (roman variant), and a bindweed stem whose triangular leaves are quite recognisable (.Why the bindweed? I invite you to discover it by reading "The bindweeds of Egypt and their symbolic role for the deceased".
