COFFIN/SARCOPHAGUS ELEMENT
A wooden head from a coffin, well-modelled with delicate features. The face is painted red, the eye and make-up detail outlined with black. The tall osiride crown or headdress still bears traces of white and blue paint. There is a dowel hole for a beard and two holes for pegs at the back of the head.
This head possibly came from the same coffin as the pair of wooden hands (see number 55.82.84-85) came from.
