Statue head of a Ptolemaic king

Head of a Ptolemaic sovereign. It is not known weather it belonged to an anthropomorphic statue or to a sphinx. He is wearing a "nemes", fastened around his forehead, and an uraeus raises from the front, twisting its body in the shape of an eight, and lacking its head. The eyebrows are barely insinuated, the eyes seem to be unfinished and the mouth is idealized, with fleshy lips. This sculpture belongs to the Ptolemaic artistic trend that tries to follow the traditional canon.Nevertheless, the influence of Greek art is noticeable.
